A long-awaited trip

13 days / 12 nights holiday, staying at 6 hotels

Day 1 – Bern, Gstaad

00:40 / 06:30: Hong Kong to Zurich

Our flight was delayed by almost one hour, but we still managed to take the train as per our originally plan.

07:46 / 07:55: Zurich Flughafen (airport) to Zurich HB (main station), by train

We left some of our luggage at Hotel Schweizerhof Zurich for easy logistics.

08:32 / 09:28: Zurich HB to Bern, by train

We left our backpacks in the locker at Bern Station, and then started visiting Bern.

We tried walking to the river, but then we found the river is quite far away and it was too late we decided to walk back to the hotel.

Though our room rate was half-board (included breakfast and dinner), we were too tired and too full to have dinner.

Day 2 – Gstaad

Breakfast at Leonard’s

We originally planned to visit 2 Gstaad’s local mountains, Wispile and Eggli.

We walked to Gstaad-Wispile station (alternatively you can go by ski bus)

Walked via Michel’s Stallbeizli (restaurant with cow)

Unfortunately the station was closed, very disappointed.

We then decided to visit another mountain, Eggli.

Came back to hotel, then went to Gstaad, Wasserngratbahn by taxi (alternatively you can go by ski bus)

Day 3 – Zermatt

Took a 07:02 train from Gstaad to Zermatt
