Heritance Kandalama Hotel has 2 wings – Dambulla wing (view of the lake and / or the Dambulla rock) and Sigiriya wing (view of the the rock fortress)

make sure you book a higher floor, otherwise you will only see garden and trees

we stayed at deluxe room in Sigiriya wing

ok size, but very old-fashioned

beware of monkeys
