Masala Chai

Masala tea is an Indian spiced tea, the traditional way to prepare is to simmer a mixture of milk, water, tea leaves (black tea, e.g. Assam tea), sweeteners (e.g. white sugar) and spices (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, and cloves).

A simple (lazy) way to make Masala Chai …

Masala Chai spice mix (Assam Tea, flavored with oriental spices, bought from A Kumar @ Old Delhi), ginger, mike & sugar.

Boil a mixture of water, masala chai spice mix and giner for 3 – 4 minutes.

Add milk and sugar and boil for 1 minute

Filter the tea into cups

Not traditional, but still nice!
